I wanted to take a quick break before the last primitive reflexes blog post and discuss some fun Easter activities to do over this holiday weekend!
These activities can be modified to be completed in any position (seated at a desk, prone on the floor, prone on a peanut ball, etc) and are a fun and interactive way to bond with your child, while assisting them in reaching their therapeutic goals.
These crafts will work on:
- Separation of the two sides of the hand (when using tongs, scissors, etc)
- Scissor skills
- Pinch skills
- 3-jaw chuck formation
- Visual-perceptual skills
- Visual scanning skills
- Figure ground skills
- Color matching/recognition
- Lacing to prepare for learning how to tie shoes
- Numerical skills
- And more!
