Gross Motor Milestones
4 – 6 Months:
- Rolls from back to tummy & back again
- Utilize a cushion, rolled-up blanket/towel, etc.
- Ly child on side
- Position cushion/blanket/towel behind child
- Place favorite toys in front within arm reach
7 – 9 Months:
- Creeps/crawls
- Utilize a boppy pillow cushion, rolled-up blanket/towel, etc.
- Ly child on belly with upper body resting on pillow/cushion/blanket/towel
- Place favorite toys in front within arm reach
10 – 18 Months:
- Cruises along furniture
- Position boxes, chairs, tables, etc. in open areas
- Position them within arm’s reach of each other
1 ½ – 2 ½ Years:
- Jumps with both feet
- Provide bar or hands
- Create soft landing: pillows/blankets
